1. Clear the Clutter

Starting the process of de-cluttering can be one of the best things that prospective home sellers can do. Packing up photos, and unused items is a great beginning for the mental and physical aspect of moving. Box up any items that you haven’t used in the last 60 days and organize the rest of the items neatly on bookshelves, storage bins, closets or in the attic.

2. Start the Honey Do List

You know all those things you’ve wanted to do to your home; painting, caulking, landscaping, cleaning the carpet, fixing the leaking faucet, and more. Now is the perfect time to make a list of those items and work on them each week leading up to spring.

3. Price Your Home Accurately

There are a number of home valuation sites on the Internet, however, not all of them are accurate. Some of those sites use out-dated data from the last 12 months tax assessments for sold inventory, which won’t be applicable on a current appraisal, which uses date from the past 3-6 months on sold inventory.
