Thinking of Selling in Spring?
Spring is one of the busiest times for real estate. Homeowners start planning to put their homes on the market preparing to potentially relocate to another part of town, or another state
If you’re a prospective home seller or know someone that is, here are 3 things you can do to get your home ready for a spring sale.
1. Clear the Clutter
Starting the process of de-cluttering can be one of the best things that prospective home sellers can do. Packing up photos, and unused items is a great beginning for the mental and physical aspect of moving. Box up any items that you haven’t used in the last 60 days and organize the rest of the items neatly on bookshelves, storage bins, closets or in the attic.
2. Start the Honey Do List
You know all those things you’ve wanted to do to your home; painting, caulking, landscaping, cleaning the carpet, fixing the leaking faucet, and more. Now is the perfect time to make a list of those items and work on them each week leading up to spring.
3. Price Your Home Accurately
There are a number of home valuation sites on the Internet, however, not all of them are accurate. Some of those sites use out-dated data from the last 12 months tax assessments for sold inventory, which won’t be applicable on a current appraisal, which uses date from the past 3-6 months on sold inventory.
4. Talk with a Village Agent
Choosing a listing agent will make a big difference in how quickly your home sells. Village agents have deep local market knowledge and proven marketing plans to help homes sell. For a confidential home consultation, complete the form below:
