Mark Deutschmann has been selling real estate since 1986, founded Village Real Estate Services in 1996, and Core Development Services in 2003. Village Real Estate now employs over 250 agents and staff. Mark believes that ‘The Core is the New Edge’, and that more people will choose urban living and greater density given current world trends.
Mark’s sales focus and passion includes all of Nashville’s inner loop neighborhoods. Mark has sold over 1,000 homes in the Hillsboro Village and 12South Neighborhoods, and sells many homes in East Nashville, Sylvan Park, Richland/Central, and in Germantown. Mark’s team has also sold 27 condo/loft/cottage projects, including The Icon, The Enclave, Bristol West End, and Gale Park. According to the Nashville Business Journal, Mark and his CityLiving Group have been the top sales team in Nashville for many years.
Mark and his team at Core Development Services develop and promote the interface of walkable areas in emerging communities. Examples of Core’s completed development communities include Exchange Lofts, Kress Lofts, Werthan Lofts, The Chesterfield, and Richland Station. Several of these communities have been honored by The Urban Land Institute with the Excellence in Design Award. Core is working on a number of developments now in the emerging Wedgewood Houston neighborhood.
Ever engaged in the community, Mark is the President of Greenways for Nashville, and serves as Chair of Mission Advance for the Urban Land Institute in Nashville. The Village Fund, the charitable arm of Village, surpassed $1 million in donations back to our community in 2014. He founded Go Green Home Services in 2014 to retrofit homes for energy savings, reserving profits for Hands on Nashville. He received the Community Service award from the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors in 2013, and the Sustainable Tennessee Award from the Tennessee Environmental Council in 2014.
Mark holds the following professional designations: Broker, CRS, GRI, e-Pro, & EcoBroker. He has undergraduate degrees in Zoology and Spanish, and an MBA in International Management.
