Mark DeutschmannMark Deutschmann has been selling real estate since 1986, and started Village Real Estate Services in 1996. Mark’s focus and passion includes all of Nashville’s inner loop neighborhoods, and the emerging Core neighborhoods downtown. Specializing in the midtown urban neighborhoods, Mark has sold over 1,000 homes in the Hillsboro Village and 12South Neighborhoods, and sells many homes in East Nashville, Sylvan Park, Richland/Central, and in Germantown. According to the Nashville Business Journal, Mark and his CityLiving Team have been the top sales team in Nashville for many years. Mark and his team work closely with our city’s neighborhood commercial districts, and enjoy the interface of these wonderful walkable areas with emerging communities. Examples of these communities include 12South, Hillsboro Village, 5 Points, and Germantown. Mark’s team is also leading the way in The Gulch, The Avenue of the Arts, SoBro, and the Bicentennial Mall. Mark believes that ‘The Core is the New Edge’, and believes that more people will choose urban living given current world trends. Mark is the listing agent for a number of these urban multi-residential communities, including The Icon in the Gulch, 5th and Main, Belle Meade Court, MC3, Gale Park, Germantown Station, and the Lofts at Werthan Mills. Ever engaged in the community, Mark is currently spearheading the ‘Go Green Nashville’ campaign, which has resulted in a series of council district challenges to see which neighborhood can be the greenest. Working with the many programs available, this campaign aims to help people save both energy and money in their homes, and aims to support Mayor Dean’s initiative to reduce energy usage by 20% in 2020. Mark serves as the Chair of Sustainability for the Urban Land Institute, Nashville, and is on the Boards of Greenways for Nashville, and the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS®. Mark also serves on the Mayor’s Open Space Advisory Committee, and on the Mayor’s Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee. Mark and his wife, Sherry, live in Hillsboro Village. He is father to Chelsea Gifford, a student at the University of Colorado. He is an avid juggler and enjoys swimming, kayaking and traveling. Mark holds the following professional designations: Broker, CRS, GRI, e-Pro, & EcoBroker. He has undergraduate degrees in Zoology and Spanish, and an MBA in International Management. |
